Övül Avkıran, Memet Ali Alabora, Daimi Yılmaz, Turan Tayar ve Eren Arıkan'dan oluşan ekip 24 Şubat gecesi uçakla İzmir'e vardı. Bir saatlik yolculuğun ardından Celal Bayar Üniversitesi Misafirhanesi'ne vardılar. Sabah erken kalkılacağı için herkes hemen odalarına çekildi.
Sabah 9:30'da Kültür Merkezi'e varıldı ve hazırlık başladı. Kültür Merkezi'nin sahnesi üçgen şeklinde bir sahne ve bazı sahne yerleşimlerinde zorlayıcı olabilir. Salonun, ışık ve ses tertibatı yönünden çok güçlü olduğu söylenemez, ama yine de çok kanallı ışık ve ses tertibatı mevcut. Kulis konusunda ciddi bir sıkıntı var. Soyunma odası sahneye bir hayli uzak.
Hazırlıklar öğle saatlerinde büyük oranda bitti. Ekip ünlü Manisa kebabını yemek için yola koyuldu. Manisa'nın en eski kebapçılarından Gülcemal Kebap Salonu'nda yemek yenildi. Yoğurtlu Manisa kebabının ardından bol sakızlı sütlaçların tadı herkesin damağında kaldı. Yemekten sonra Ayn-ı Ali Kahvehanesi'ne gidildi. Mesir macunun malzemeleri ile hazırlanan sultan çayı hem lezzetli, hem de şifa veren bir çay. Kahvehane'nin dekorasyonu da çalan Türk musikisi de ekibin keyifi bir zaman geçirmesini sağladı.
Son hazırlıklar tamamlandıktan sonra ekip seyircinin salona gireceği saati beklemeye başladı. Çoğunluğu öğrencilerden oluşan seyirci 550 kişilik salonun neredeyse tamamını dolduruyordu. Seyirci birçok yerde güldüğü, bir çok yerde de tamamen sessiz kaldığı oyun bittiğinde, alkışlama konusunda tedirginlik yaşadı. İlk alkış, Memet Ali Alabora'nın içeri girmesiyle çabuk kesildi. Ardından seyirciler uzun zaman oyunun bittiğini anlamadan oturdular. Seyircinin tamamı ancak on dakika sonra yerlerinden kalkdılar.
Oyundan sonra birçok öğrenci Memet Ali Alabora ile fotoğraf çektirip, imza istedi. Ekip akşam yemeğini yedikten sonra, misafirhanedeki odalarına geçti. Ertesi sabah erkenden Demirci'ye doğru yol çıkıldı.
The team which consisted of Övül Avkıran, Memet Ali Alabora, Daimi Yılmaz, Turan Tayar and Eren Arıkan arrived at İzmir airport on the night of 24th of February. After an hour journey they reached Celal Bayar University's Guesthouse. They all went to bed immediately because everybody would wake up early in the morning.
They arrived at the Cultural Center at 9:30 and started the preparations. The triangular shape of the stage may be hard for some set-ups. The light and sound equipment is not very efficient, but both have multi-channeled controls. There is a serious problem about the backstage, because the dressing room is downstairs and very far to the stage.
Preparatios were almost over by noon. The team ate the famous Manisa Kebap at one of the oldest restaurant in town, Gülcemal Kebap House. The taste of the sütlaç (rice pudding) with real mastic was wonderful. They went together to Ayn-ı Ali Kahvehane (coffee house) after lunch. This is an old coffee house where Classical Turkish Music is played and they serve sultan tea which is made with the ingredients of “mesir macunu”. “Mesir macunu” is a traditional toffee made from 41 different herbs which is special to Manisa.
After all the set-up was over, the team started to wait for the audience's entrance. Almost all the seats were occupied in the 550 seated venue. Most of the audience were consisted of students. During the play the audience laughed at many parts of the play but also kept a deep silence at some other parts. But at the very end they were curious about the final applause. First they applauded but when Memet Ali Alabora went backstage they stopped immediately. The audience waited at their seats without realizing that the play was over. It was after ten minutes that all the audience left the venue.
Many students had photos with Memet Ali Alabora and wanted autographs. After the dinner, the team went to their rooms In the guest house. The next morning they left for Demirci early in morning.
