21. Oyun - 21st Play - Gaziantep

Muhabir ekibi Gaziantep'e 13 Nisan gecesi vardı. Ertesi gün, akşam oynanacak oyun için tiyatroya geçildi ve hazırlıklar başladı. Gaziantep'teki tiyatroyu Belediye yaptırmış, son yıllarda Devlet Tiyatrosu oyunlarını burada sergiliyor. Devlet Tiyatrosu'nun Gaziantep'te kadrosu yok, sadece turne yapıyorlar. Teknik kapasitesi iyi düzeyde bir salon.

Memet Ali Alabora oyundan önce Zeugma FM'e konuk oldu. Gaziantep bir lezzet kenti, her adımda tadılması gereken özel bir yiyecek var. Ekip neredeyse bir efsane haline gelmiş Karşıyaka'daki Halil Usta'ya gitti. Neredeyse herkes Halil Usta'da yediği etin en iyisi olduğunda mutabıktı. Halil Usta çıkarken müşterilere kürdanlara batırılış et ikram ediyor. Lokanta'dan ayrılırken ağzınızda kalan son lezzet çay değil et olsun diye. Ardından Şirvan Usta'da baklava yenildi. Ekip, iyi baklavadan “Hush” sesi çıkması gerektiğini orada öğrendi. Bu sesin çıktığı baklavanın tadını da...

20.30'da başlayan oyunda seyirci çok yoğun değildi. Farklı bir beklenti ile gelen seyircilerden bazıları oyundan çıktı. Beğendiğini söyleyenler de böyle bir oyun beklemediklerini itiraf ettiler. Gaziantep'in tiyatro seyircisinin çok olmadığını tiyatroda çalışanlar da söyledi.

Ekip akşam Anatolian Hotel'e geçti. Sabah kahvaltıda beyran çorbası içmek için otelden erken ayrıldı. Kelebek Lokantası'nda içilen beyran çorbasının ardından, ekip Gaziantep'teki son anlarını değerlendirmek için katmerci aramaya başladı. Tesadüfen bulunan Mis'te katmer ve kahkeler çok güzeldi. Ekip antep fıstığı aldıktan sonra Tarsus'a yola koyuldu.

14 April 2009, Tuesday, 20.30 – Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality State Theatre Onat Kutlar Stage, Gaziantep, Turkey

The team arrived in Gaziantep on the night of 13th April. They moved to the theatre for set-up in the morning. The venue was built by the Municipality, in the recent years State Theatre is performing in this venue. State Theatre doesn't have resident cadre, they are only touring to Gaziantep. The venue has an efficient technical capacity.

Memet Ali Alabora went to a live broadcast interview at Zeugma FM before the play. Gaziantep is a gastronomical city. In every step, there is something that has to be tasted. The team went to Halil Usta, who almost became a legend in Karşıyaka. Nearly everyone agreed that it was the best meat they have ever eaten. Halil Usta offers his customers meat on toothpicks before they live, in order to last the taste of the meat in their months not the tea. Later on, the team ate Baklava at Şirvan Usta. They learned there, that the best baklava has to have the “Hoosuh” sound when bitten. And the original was tasted for the first time.

The audience was not very crowded at the play. Some of the audience who came with a different expectation left the play. And some who liked it, denied that they were not expecting such a play. The workers of the theatre said that there is not much of a theatre audience in Gaziantep.

The team went to Anatolian Hotel at night. To drink “beyran” soup ( a spicy soup with meat and rice, especially drank for breakfast) they left the hotel early. After drinking the beyran soup in Kelebek Restaurant, they searched for a place to eat “katmer” (a kind of sweet pasty with pistachio). The katmer and “kahke” (small salty and sweet pasties) were very nice at Mis which was coincidently found. After buying pistachio (which is known as “antep nuts”) the team moved to Tarsus.
